The client came to Homeco Energy wanting a complete energy reduction solution for their property. The client was concerned about the recent hike in energy prices and wanted to buffer him and his family from the contant rises.
They lived in the village of Taddington on the outskirts of Buxton. The entire village relies on electricity to heat their homes as there is no mains gas out there. Electricity is the most inefficient and expensive way of heating a home so we came up with a number of solutions to meet the clients needs.
Our suggested package not only saw the client generate his own power by way of a 4kW Solar PV installation, we also enabled him to better manage this generated power by the use of an Energy Management Unit (EMMA). We also looked at reducing his consumption by fitting a Voltage Optimisation Unit - which reduces his electricity consumption by over ten percent per year.
We also replaced their old electric storage heaters with a Valliant 15kW Air Source Heat Pump. This has helped to future proof the property against rising electricity prices whilst allowing them to benefit from next year's Renewable Heat Incentice Scheme (RHI).
The aim was to implement a new Solar PV installation to the existing tiled roof. As the Solar PV & Renewable Energy installer in Sheffield, Homeco sourced a specific mounting system to help meet the needs of the installation and make it as straight forward as possible.
